Handheldimage is a specialist fine art company offering both limited editioned artworks and artistic production tailored to specific projects.

Handheld was founded in 2000 by Kimberly Lavery and her husband, the renowned photographer Peter Lavery. The Laverys decided to launch the business after years of travelling. Peter explains:

During the thirty years I have been taking photographs, Kim and I have stayed in hundreds of hotels worldwide, most of which have not taken into consideration how important art is for the overall guest experience. All too often the walls are an afterthought and we decided to help change that. Technological developments have enabled us to create original pieces of art at realistic prices and Handheld is our outlet for this work.

Collaborating with designers and architects, the Laverys bring the work of top photographers and artists to the hotel industry and to other commercial enterprises worldwide. As well as commissioned work, they have a large library of images and a print studio where artworks are created in-house.

The artists who collaborate with Handheld and who employ platinum, salt, colour carbon, silk screen, dye destruction, and oils are quite simply masters of their crafts. In bringing together the creative activity of a group of specialists, Handheld aim to make projects both satisfying and worthwhile.
